Instructions
  1. Mix Flour and Salt.
  2. Option 1 - for tenderness – cut in 2/3 of the Shortening until fine as meal
  3. Option 2 - for flakiness – cut in rest of Shortening to size of large peas
  4. Sprinkle cold water over mixture. Mix thoroughly with fork until all particles cling together and form a dough.
  5. Roll 1/2 of dough 1/8 inch thick; line a 9 inch pie pan. Use remaining dough for top crust.
  6. For Shell, bake @ 450° for 10-15 minutes
