Instructions
  1. Cook beef and barley in pot of water for about 1/2 hour.
  2. Add onions, celery, carrots and potatoes; cook until vegetables are tender.
  3. Make flour and crisco into brown gravy. Add to the stew; cook another 5 minutes.
