Ingredients
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 cup Brown Sugar
- 1 cup Shortening
- 2 Eggs
- 2 1/2 cups Flour
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Soda
- 1 1/2 cups Dates cut up, rolled in sugar to separate
- 1 1/2 cups Nuts chopped

Instructions
- Cream sugar, shortening and eggs.
- Spoon flour, salt and soda (combined) to creamed mixture.
- Add dates and nuts.
- Mix well.
- 1” balls.
- Bake @ 350° for 14 minutes.
